Since 2010, Magellanica Guides has been pioneering the ancient pass connecting the Manso river corridor and the valley of Cochamo, the South American version of Yosem-ite. This is a horse supported trekking trip on rough trails, earning a leisurely stay at one of the Cochamo’s hut to go exploring the trails leading to some of the granite cliffs looming around alpine lakes. Some of the untouched Alerces can be observed during the journey across the range. Late summer and early fall are the best time to explore the corridor used by the first nations and jesuits.
